As of February 2025, the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" franchise is expanding with several notable projects:

Netflix's Live-Action Adaptation:

  • Season 1 Release: The first season of Netflix's live-action adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" premiered on February 22, 2024.

  • Renewal and Production: In March 2024, Netflix renewed the series for two additional seasons, aiming to conclude Aang's story as depicted in the original animated series. Production for Season 2 commenced in October 2024 and is expected to wrap up by March 2025. The release of Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025 or early 2026.

Animated Film by Avatar Studios:

  • Upcoming Release: Avatar Studios is developing an animated theatrical film titled "Aang: The Last Airbender," set to release on January 30, 2026.
